The SCAHA Annual Board of Director’s meeting will be in July, after the CAHA annual meeting in June. Those interested in participating on the committee should email Sandy as well as email any suggestions for rule changes. Sandy Blumberg distributed a draft sample of the new score sheet for review and comment. Some of the recommendations were:

1) ~ under Game officials section (score keeper) Running Time should be changed from        a Y or N selection to Running Time:  P___  Time____

2) ~ at the very bottom of the page “For Additional Information….” Should be changed to        read: For Additional Statistical Tracking use a 2nd Score sheet.

Staff Reports

Member Services – Wendy Goldstein informed the board that about $40,000 of delinquencies have cleared prior to the start of tryouts and she expects more families to clear in the weeks ahead. Wendy Goldstein advised the presidents to inform their coaches and volunteers that they should re-submit to the CAHA screening. There are about 30,000 applicants whose screening will expire September 1, 2009. This year there is no grace period and coaches and managers must have submitted to the screening process and appear on the compliance list before they can be rostered on a team.

Statistician – Nancy Hodge reported on behalf of Annie Fisher who is absent. Annie Fisher has sent out the request for players’ addresses to all of the club presidents for purposes of mailing out the award patches for play maker, hat trick and shut outs. She has yet to receive the information from all of the clubs.

Ice Convener – Chris Carcerano advised the board that if they would like to have their tryouts posted on the SCAHA web site that should go ahead and submit the information in the spreadsheet he sent via email. Once tryouts have begun, Chris Carcerano will be asking the clubs to submit their preliminary preseason team declarations. Please honor the deadlines. Chris informed the board he will finalize the SCAHA calendar once the CAHA calendar has been finalized. And finally, Chris Carcerano stated that he is looking into generating new revenue sources from utilizing the SCAHA web site and will report back to the board on his findings.

Treasurer’s Report

Bob Driffill distributed the financial statements dated May 31, 2009. Included in the report is the proposed draft of the 2009-2010 budget for review and comment.
